NACC hosting 5K run/walk

Northeast Alabama Community College will be hosting a 5K run/walk in order to aid the scholarship fund.
The race will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25, beginning at 8 a.m. on the campus and nature trail behind the library. Mu Alpha Theta, the Student Government Association, Phi Theta Kappa and Sigma Kappa Delta of NACC are sponsoring the event.
The course will consist of a double loop around the NACC campus and nature trail, beginning and ending behind the student center. Registration on the day of the event will be held at the student center from 7:15 until 7:45 a.m. Participants who registered by Oct. 15, received a free t-shirt. Entry fee is $20 for pre-registration and $25 on the day of the race.
Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each division. Divisions include 12 and under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-40, 41-50 and 51 and older. Each category will have a male and female division.
Proceeds from the race will be go towards funding scholarships for current and future students at NACC.
