Woman killed in Thursday accident

One person was killed and another injured in a traffic collision at 7:51 a.m. Thursday in Jackson County on U.S. Highway 72 about a mile east of Gurley, according to Alabama State Troopers.
The fatality was identified as Bonnie Brown, 82, of Scottsboro.
She was a passenger in a 1993 Altima driven by Joseph Piskorz, no age listed, of Scottsboro, who was injured, troopers said.
Larry Hereford of Gurley was the driver of a 1993 Chevrolet pick-up, according to troopers, who said Hereford was not listed as injured.
