Race for scholarships at NACC

Several organizations at Northeast Alabama Community College are hosting a 5K run/walk to aid the scholarship fund on Saturday, Oct. 25.
The race will be held at 8 a.m. on the campus and nature trail behind the campus library. The course consists of two loops around the campus and nature trail. The race will begin and end at the student center.
Registration will be held on the day of the race at the student center from 7:15 until 7:45 a.m. Entry fee is $20 for pre-registration and $25 on the day of the race. Awards will be given to the top three runners in each division. Divisions will include 12 and under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-40, 41-50 and 51 and older with male and female divisions in each category.
The event is sponsored by Mu Alpha Theta, the Student Government Association, Phi Theta Kappa and Sigma Kappa Delta of NACC. Proceeds from the event will be used to fund scholarships for both current and future students at NACC.
