Henagar man faces meth lab charges

Published October 15, 2009

A complaint called into the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office led to the arrest of a Henagar man Monday.

After answering the call, deputies Travis Renfro, Lee Henegar, Landon Kesler and Kevin Smith discovered parts of a meth lab at a residence on County Road 125 near Henagar.

“The deputies called investigators Craig Holcomb and Kevin Miller,” Chief Deputy Chuck Phillips said. “Miller obtained a search warrant.”

Inside the residence, investigators located the finished product of meth, Phillips said.

John William Goodale, 35, of Henagar was arrested and charged with Manufacturing of Meth First Degree and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

At the time of his arrest, Goodale was out on bond for a previous Possession of a Controlled Substance charge.

He remains in the Jackson County Jail, pending a bond revocation.
