Meth lab busted

Jackson County deputies and investigators busted a meth lab Tuesday night on Highway 40 near Henagar.
According to Chief Deputy Chuck Phillips, deputy Travis Renfro received information of meth being manufactured at a residence. Phillips said Renfro, deputy Kevin Smith, investigator Kevin Miller and Jimmy Jones of the DeKalb County Drug Task Force conducted an investigation.
“That resulted in a search warrant obtained by investigator Craig Holcomb leading to an arrest,” Phillips said.
During the search, a lab was found inside the residence, along with cooked meth.
Joseph Patrick Ginn, 35, of Henagar, was arrested and charged with Manufacturing of Meth First Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Clonazepam) and Possession of Marijuana Second Degree.
Phillips said more arrests are expected in the case.
As of Wednesday morning, Ginn remained in the Jackson County Jail, awaiting bond.
