Man caught with eight small bags of marijuana

Published October 19, 2009

A Stevenson man remained in the Jackson County Jail Friday after investigators located eight bags of marijuana on him during a traffic stop Thursday afternoon.

Investigator Eric Woodall said the Jackson County Sheriff's Office received a call about a vehicle following too closely behind a school bus on County Road 45 in Fackler.

“Once we stopped the vehicle, we found the marijuana,” Woodall said.

Alexander O’brian Talley, 19, of Stevenson, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana First Degree.

Woodall said the bags totaled about two ounces of marijuana with a street value of $300.

The Hollywood Police Department assisted in the traffic stop.

There were no charges on anyone else in the vehicle, Woodall said.

As of Friday morning, Talley was still in jail awaiting bond.
