A single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a Scottsboro man Monday morning.

Jackson County Coroner John David Jordan said Garry Tate Jr., 24, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on Alabama Highway 35 in Woodville.

“It appeared he lost control of his truck and turned it over in a ditch,” Jordan said.

The accident happened about 6:15 a.m. Monday.
